Maryland Green Party Announces Preliminary NOMINEEs for 2026 Elections

The Maryland Green Party held a party-administered primary election in the two weeks following the deadline for candidates to declare their intent to run in the 2026 General Election. According to the party’s rules, state-wide candidates and candidates for federal offices are decided by primary election. The primary voting opened on Wednesday, July 8 and closed at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 22.

The following candidates won primary elections for 2026 offices (“No Candidate” is always included as an option in Green Party-administered elections):

For Governor: Andy Ellis
For Lieutenant Governor: Owen Andrews
For U.S. House of Representatives, District 4: Sam Husseini
For U.S. House of Representatives, District 6: Moshe Landman
For U.S. House of Representatives, District 4: Nancy Wallace

For Howard County Executive: Nater Kane
For Maryland House of Delegates, District 45: Renaud Brown
For Charles County Commissioner, District 4: Artiium Arbyummi

These results are preliminary. Certifications of nomination are due to the Maryland State Board of Elections by Monday, August 3. The candidate listing will be final at that time.
