  3. Moshe Landman Dist. 6, US House of Representatives

  4. Nancy Wallace Dist. 8, US House of Representatives

PRIMARY DATES

  • We’ll likely shift the voting period from 3 weeks to 2:

    • Brian proposed July 11th and 25th; That provides 5 days from the filing deadline and a week plus to resolve any process or administrative issues before the August 3rd certificate of candidacy deadline.

    • Renaud proposed July 6-20

    • Nancy prefers a June primary.

  • The final dates of the voting period are dependent on decisions that we will make at the April 26 Emergency Assembly.

General Assembly Legislative Updates

Our bills are stuck in their respective committees, and March 23 was the important cross-over date.

  • HB101, Debates Inclusion;

  • HB979, Constitutional Convention

Endorsement Policy

Brian reported on a candidate who had run as a Republican in the primary and asked us to endorse them as a Green for November. Renaud fielded the call and explained our process and why that couldn’t happen.

Emergency Assembly

Brian had submitted a proposal for an Emergency Assembly for bylaws amendments related to our primary. We have the 25 names needed to proceed, and Brian proposed Sunday, April 26 in the evening. Those at the meeting indicated that April 26 works for them.

Regular Annual Assembly
Brian announced that the projected site is Annapolis in mid- to late July, probably July 11 or 18.

GPUS Reappointment

We agreed unanimously to reappoint Mary Rooker to the GPUS EcoAction Committee, as her 2-year term there is expiring.

GPUS Annual National Meeting

The ANM will be July 23-26 in Chicago. It’s about an 11-hour drive. Nancy is organizing a carpool and encourages all to attend.

Adjourned

Meeting ended at 8:34 pm.
