November 2019 Newsletter

Dear Supporter,

I am so excited to share with you that the Maryland Green Party has officially launched our 2019 year-end fundraising campaign!

We have the goal of raising $2,500 in individual gifts and 28 new monthly sustaining donors to our ranks by December 31st. I know how much our Maryland Green Party values of ecology, social justice, and grassroots democracy mean to you and I so hope that you’ll join me in making a gift of $15, $30, or $99 to secure a more equitable and sustainable Maryland for all!

DONATE

Your gift of any amount will play a tremendous role in securing our future as Maryland’s progressive party for the working class. A gift of $15 helps provide one hour of outreach to recruit new supporters. A gift of $30 equates to 20 petition signatures gathered by our ballot access coordinator. A gift of $99 is in honor of the 99% of Marylanders oppressed and exploited by the top 1%.

The Maryland Green Party is a party of the people, not accountable to the elites that control Annapolis today. We don’t accept donations from corporations and depend on the support of people like you.

With your support, we can reach (and hopefully exceed!) our Party’s goals for 2019, secure ballot access by 2020, and forever continue our enduring struggle against the two-party system and corporate influences that endanger our planet and our democracy. Together, we are the Maryland Green Party and I ask you to join me in giving to our common future.

This is only the beginning!

Forever yours in solidarity,

Andy Ellis, Co-Chair Maryland Green Party

Greens Speak Up

“The Maryland Green Party needs your political and financial support because otherwise we will always be stuck with the status quo.

People are fed up with a political system that doesn't seem to work. The Green Party believes both the major political parties are at fault and need to be thrown out. Support our efforts on a county and state basis so that we can get about the business of making Maryland the progressive bellwether state its citizens clearly actually want.”

Jon Cook, 2018 State Delegate Candidate, District 18

“As a member of the Baltimore County local chapter of the Green Party since 2016, I am also a monthly donor to the Maryland Green Party. A donation to the Maryland Green Party goes to support grassroots democracy outside of the capitalist corporate duopoly. It helps to shift power so that legislators feel real electoral pressure from the left to build towards racial and ecological justice.”

Theresa Alexander, Co-Chair, Baltimore County Green Party
