The Green Party was founded on values. There are ten
of them on which we all agree even though we may debate
their precise meaning. Here they are:

Some think ten is too many. It is a
lot to memorize. Some, in particular Europeans, feel
that the first four are sufficient to encompass the remaining
ones. These are sometimes refered to as the "four
pillars". Still others will list them in a different
order, placing Environmental Wisdom further down the
list so that we aren't mistaken as just an environmental
party (even though ecological wisdom, if fully embraced,
would probably solve a lot of socioeconomic problems).
