Hello there. I've been an active Green here in Virginia since 2000 and am moving up to Montgomery County in May 2008. I decided to register at this new site in the hopes of meeting some Greens up that way prior to my move.

About me (the short version): I've been active in third party politics from the presidential level to the local level since 1974, in Connecticut, Illinois, Texas, and Virginia. I was a Libertarian Party activist for many years (worked on the McBride 1976 and Clark 1980 presidential campaigns), then gradually became disillusioned with libertarianism and faded out of politics. When Ralph Nader announced his candidacy in 1999, I perked up again and found my home. I've been a GP activist ever since. I was a local coordinator for the Nader 2000 campaign, a co-coordinator for Northern Virginia for the Nader 2004 campaign, assisted Josh Ruebner's Green campaign for the Arlington County, Va. board of supervisors last year, and have been a co-coordinator of the Loudoun Greens as well as the Loudoun representative on the Green Party of Virginia's Interim Committee. I'm particularly interested in and experienced with ballot access issues, international issues, and confronting Democratic Party operatives! :-)
