We've also replaced all the bulbs indoors and out with CFL's, we did it all in a day and started to compared electric bills and saw a noticeable difference. We have tenants in in two apartments and changed those as well. With as many lights as we have it will add up to a big difference at the end of the year but no matter the size of the house changing bulbs to CFL is a big step towards saving energy. We've also got double glazing on some older windows and sealed up some areas with expanding foam like behind the molding under the window there is usually an open space from when the windows were installed that just gets covered up. Before sealing those areas up you could always feel cold drafts during the winter.
