Iraq is not what Vietnam was to the US, it is what Afghanistan was to the USSR

In this fascinating essay (click here to read it), the author argues that the situation in Iraq does not parellel the U.S. experience in Viet Nam so much as the Soviet Union’s experience in Afghanistan. Fascinating stuff.

Woo! Hoo! Ken Sain (click here for link) mentions both Tim and myself! [I can feel my ego swelling.] Recognition, however, must be bestowed upon Adam Davis — he was the one who dreamed up this thing in the first place and kept instigating us to put in material.
