Report on the Assembly
Co-chair Tim Willard, Alan Matlage, Bahram and Becky spoke. Linda Schade spoke about True Vote Maryland. She’s willing to speak to MoCo. LOTS of people spoke at the Stop The War Panel. Salient fact: U.S. Military budget equals that of the next largest 20 countries combined. Charm City’s application was sent to Rules and Bylaws. There was a workshop on homosexual rights. The International Greens showed the documentary “Life and Death”, about how the I.M.F. destroyed the Jamaican economy. There was a discussion about relieving 3rd world debt. There was discussion about how these astronomical sums of money are unaccounted for in Iraq.
Joseph announced that he wants a Green/Small Business Alliance. John Low mentioned a lack of recyling opportunities. Joseph announced that Kensington First is suing to challenge the Safeway Grocery Store zoning decision. Alan announced that he is looking for a MoCo Petitioning Organizer.
BTW, MoCo needs a permanent Recording Secretary…..

lovely. Easy to read. easy to see the follow up comments. Good job, Nathan! If you have problems using the blog, I’m happy to
answer questions.
Nathan asked how to make various text affects:
The whole premise is based on you knowing a little bit of html coding, but it’s not that hard, really.
When writing the piece, use the quicktags buttons above the text entry area. You can click the (for example) str button, which then changes to a /str button and puts a strong notation (a tag) in the article, and then type the text, and then click the /str button to enter the closing the tag. Everything between the tags is now boldfaced when the article is submitted. An alternate way is to select the text with your mouse, and then click the str button which then puts an open and close pair of tags around the selected text.
You can read the full help text on how to use this by clicking on the Quicktags word in the text editing screen, which links to the original Wordpress docs.
some bold using the str button
some italic using the em button
underscore uses the u tag (no button), but it’s listed in the Wordpress docs
More advanced users can do ordered list using the ol button
